Hewlett-Packard launched a new WMR Head Display prototype design code Copper

As part of Microsoft's Windows Hybrid Reality Platform, Hewlett-Packard (HP) launched its first premiere at the end of 2017. Now HP is preparing to launch a new premiere. Hewlett-Packard hopes the head display will improve clarity and comfort. At the end of 2017, Microsoft launched the Windows Hybrid Reality Platform, as well as VR headsets from partner companies (HP, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, etc.). In the initial headsets, all headsets except Samsung were manufactured in almost the same specifications, apparently based on reference designs developed mainly by Microsoft. This makes the head display (with the exception of Samsung) almost no difference. This time, HP redesigned the next generation of avatars. It's still a Windows hybrid reality head-up, which means it retains the same quality of inside-out tracking and ease of setup (since no external tracker is required). The prototype, codenamed Copper, has a distinct Rift look: a slender top strap design, and a headset with stylish headphones. At the rear, you can see that the top and side bands eventually form a circular structure, while the front is surrounded by a mixture of materials, in which the front camera is embedded. John Ludwig, HP's VR product manager, said the device was the first prototype to be processed, meaning the company had begun production. I'm confident about the clarity I see through Copper's lens, and Ludwig uses Odyssey + for side-by-side comparisons (currently the highest resolution WMR head on the market, 1,440 & times for a single eye; 1,600). In fact, the clarity of Copper is obviously better than that of Samsung Xuanlong+. Undoubtedly, this is mainly because Copper is driven by 2,160 & times; 2,160 (single-eye) displays, which have more than twice the number of pixels as Odyssey +. Although Odyssey + uses a diffuser on the screen (at the expense of some sharpness to hide the screen door effect), Copper hardly needs a diffuser because the screen door effect is evidently eliminated by the pixel-intensive RGB fringe display.
